In June of 1996, Petoskey Plastics contacted (3) steel building contractors to bid a 10,000 square foot warehouse expansion. The proposed building required high ceilings, minimal interior columns, and interface with our existing building. The building site was far from level, and numerous water springs were present.
Of the three bids, Colwell Wangeman Construction’s (CWC) price was “in the middle”. But the preparation and professionalism of CWC instantly sold me and I awarded them the job. Throughout this building project, that same preparation and professionalism was evident from engineering through all the sub-contractors. The end result was an on time, high quality building with minimal over-runs.
This past year, Petoskey Plastics turned to CWC for a challenging project that required a roof extension on our existing building. This project had an extremely tight time-line and required extensive engineering to modify the existing building. Again, CWC produced an on time, high quality building while working under adverse weather conditions and around our production schedule.
In summary, I have been extremely pleased with the work peformed for Petoskey Plastics by CWC because their work has been done right, price competitively, and on time.
